Architecture & Design (A+D) Museum
Los Angeles, CA.
Role: Media Design Intern
Timeline: May - September 2025
-
A+D was founded by Stephen Kanner, Joe Addo, and Bernard Zimmerman in January 2001 and first opened our doors in the Bradbury Building in Los Angeles. Since then, A+D has hosted multiple exhibitions, both online and in person, along with annual design awards and public programs. Cultivating a supportive community around art and architecture in Los Angeles.
“The A+D Museum explores the definitions of architecture and design, from the conceptual to professional practice. We embrace the themes of technology, art, scale, and urbanism. A+D guides our community through the complex effects design has on our lives and the world around us.”

In this experience, I was able to shadow the board of lead architects and designers in operating this hybrid museum, which includes event organizing, social media strategy, and fundraising outreach.
As an intern, I focused on curating and managing the museum’s socials, specifically with designing promotional materials for the annual fundraiser, Celebrate Vitality 2025. My role fluctuated from direct tasks such as organizing architectural tours hosted by the museum and sorting sponsors into power decks to independently designing and curating a marketing and social media strategy for the annual fundraiser, Celebrate Vitality 2025.
Moreover, while this internship was primarily online, I was also able to meet and work in person at Celebrate Vitality 2025. At this in-person event, I helped set up and take down the gala, served as a frontman for the auction, and checked in guests.

In this internship, I assisted in museum fundraising and event planning through effective collaboration with A+D board members and public organizations like the American Institute of Architects Los Angeles Chapter.
I also curated and grew the social media for the A+D Museum, creating posts and stories that reached 11.2K people on Instagram.
